Demystifying Instructional Design Podcast
I started the podcast as a way to help my students better understand the variety of things instructional designers do. When I started teaching the Foundations of Instructional Design course, I needed to introduce my students to the work of instructional designers. I could tell them what instructional designer do, but that is not nearly as powerful as hearing from instructional designers directly. I invited my instructional designer friends to be guest speakers in my class. This worked well for a couple of years, but I felt like it was getting repetitive for both me and my guests. There were also useful insights in those classes that I wanted to share more widely. That inspired me to create this podcast – where I interview instructional designers about the work that they do. In addition to the podcast, I also blog about instructional design and any tips that I discover while teaching instructional design online.
